Itinerary:
Day 1: Rishikesh to Chopta
Rishikesh to Chopta drive is full of natural beauty. The moment you will leave Rishikesh, you will be in the lap of the mountains.
The first major spot will be Devprayag, the origin of Ganga, where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form Ganga.
After that, a beautiful drive to Srinagar Garhwal will leave you amazed by the beauty it has. We will reach another confluence at Rudraprayag, one of the Panch Prayags, the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini.
We will take the left to Kedarnath road and continue our journey to Chopta.
We will cross many important spots in this journey such as Agastyamuni, Kund, Ukhimath. After crossing Ukhimath, you will enter the Chopta Valley. Full of oak and rhododendron forests, we will enter Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary.. Arrival at campsite.
Day 2: Chopta To Tungnath To Chandrashila To Chopta
This is the day we’ll are waiting for. We will start our day early so that we will see the sunrise on the trek. A 5 km drive from our campsite will take us to Chopta, the starting point of our trek.
We will start our trek, in 1 km we will reach the first bugyal, called Bhujgali Bugyal. The lush green meadow will give you the views of the mighty Chaukhamba, Kedar twins and many more.
From here, wewill take a steep ascent of 1.5 km to Dev Darshini, where we will see Tungnath and Chandrashila for the first time. We will see towards our left, The White Rhododendron whp are there to light your eyes. We will move towards Tungnath, crossing Shri Ganesha Temple and Raavan Shila, we will reach Tungnath.
The highest Shiva Temple and the Third Kedar, Tungnath temple is an amazing art of Indian Architecture, where the arms and shoulders of Lord Shiva are.
We will take the right towards Chandrashila, and we will follow a steep 1km ascent to our summit.
And we will reach Chandrashila, the 360 degree of The Great Himalayas, where you can see half of the Garhwal will leave you in tears of joy.
Then we will get back to our campsite, celebrate our trek with the bornfire and many stories to toll
Day 3: Chopta to Rishikesh
Enjoy the scenic route while returning to Rishikesh
